Announcing:
Our New Editor of the Journal of College Writing
The
Louisiana Association of College Composition would like to welcome the
new editor of the Journal of College Writing. He is Jeff Wiemelt, Associate Professor of
English at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA.
Dr.
Wiemelt is an Associate Professor and Director of Freshman English at
Southeastern, where he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in
composition and linguistics. He received his PhD in Composition Studies
from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 1995, where he also
served as Assistant Editor of Written Communication
for two years, and as a member of the Editorial Board for roughly five
years. At Southeastern he supervised the student editors of our Writing
Center's journal, The Pick: Outstanding Student Writing from Across the Curriculum, for several years, and he has edited three of their Southeast Louisiana Writing Project's anthologies.
