At our last conference in Monroe, Jeff Wiemelt, editor of LACC's Journal of College Writing, requested a forum here at Active Voice for LACC members to identify their research interests; this will be used to find reviewers for the peer-reviewed articles under consideration at JCW. If you have a position available in your department or college for compositionists, rhetorician, or teachers of writing, we can help you get out the word. Every fall, we all reinvent the wheel, it seems. But while every teaching situation is different, still, wouldn't be nice to have a place to deposit syllabi and look at how other teachers do their favorite classes?

Post them here! All syllabi posted remain the property of their authors, but sharing them here indicates your willingness to let others borrow and adapt your work for their own purposes without further compensation.

This is a place where teachers responsible for directing writing programs in Louisiana colleges and universities can discuss issues common to our campuses. Some current issues are transfer, dual credit, program assessment. This forum might also be of interest to high school writing teachers so that we could discuss both dual credit and improved articulation between high school and college campuses.
